Borislav Kokeza - Systems Architect whose solutions conquer continents

FasTable platform will enable restaurant owners to effectively run the business of their facilities, to successfully monitor and respond to the demands of their customers will soon be launched onto the African market!

We have talked to Borislav Kokeza to get his thought about this project as he was one of the main people on this one.

At the start of the conversation, first thing that our Borislav points out is that high-quality expertise in his work is crucial. It opens doors to many possibilities.

“This project is very important not only because it solves the problems of our clients in an innovative way, but also because we have introduced some new, interesting technologies.”

The FasTable system consists of a total of five applications, and they are combined to provide the best user experience. Through it, customers will be able to book a certain number of seats in the desired restaurant in a couple of simple steps.

The platform also includes restaurant advertising as well as advanced search, menu display and key restaurant information.

Borislav shared his success story and described how it all come about.

His love for mathematics and informatics has led him from his first acquaintance with programming in high school, through the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, to the position of Systems Architect in Antecna.

“Programming has attracted me because it is a creative and challenging job in which you tackle unusual problems and challenges that are very satisfying to solve.”

The job he is currently doing as well as the skill set he has are quite diverse, so he describes himself as a full-stack engineer, although lately he has been mostly oriented towards frontend technologies, as it was required by the projects he has worked on.

Although an extremely attractive job, he admits that he and his colleagues are often overwhelmed with work and do not really have much time for a break. This, he says, does not bother him too much, because the desire to create quality software and passion for work are what often makes him forget about time.

He also says that it’s very satisfying when you know that you’ve made a product that is used by many people and that they are happy with it. Still, he tries to use and spend every free moment wisely with his girlfriend, so they often play table tennis or go swimming together, and when possible, they like to use their free time to go on a trip.

The projects he works on are extremely interesting and different, which makes the job dynamic and never monotonous. This diversity of projects require constant training from engineers.

"Of course, I use every opportunity to learn something new through online courses, webinars, and often, I learn through projects and implementation", explains Borislav.
