Scoring goals and writing codes – it's our Jovan

When he's not playing for his local football team, you can find Jovan helping his teammates at Antecna developing the best possible solutions for clients all around the world.

But, how a football lover became a frontend engineer, and how does he find a balance between these two things he loves.

How it all started

„The first contact with programming I had while I still was in elementary school. At that early age, I even participated in the school programming competitions. Later, through high school and college, the love of programming only grew, and it shaped me into what I am today.“

Jovan is proof that when you do what you love, it can only be the wind at your back, so in addition to programming, he is actively involved in sports. He plays football for a lower-league club, and from time to time he likes to play basketball too.

Invest in yourself

Working at Antecna, as he says, has stimulated him to advance even more, as a professional and personally: "Here at Antecna, we are developing through practical projects, and by solving specific problems. During this whole process, we do not only work as developers but we also participate in client meetings and design of the apps and websites and thus expand our knowledge in several directions. Also, through additional courses and conferences, we get the opportunity to expand our knowledge even more", said Jovan, and added with a smile that he does not see himself doing anything else than what he's doing at this moment.

In addition to this, he believes that investment in knowledge pays the best interest and thinks that all young people should invest in personal development. It may be tiring but will pay off in the long run.
